Ron Tugwell



Ron is the most respected baseball coach in Northern Virginia history.  He was a
guidance counselor and Head Baseball Coach for 30 years, including 431 wins and 2
state championships at West Springfield High School and nomination to the Virginia
High School Coaches Hall of Fame. Ron has also been an affiliate scout with The
Orioles, Rangers & Phillies. Since his retirement from West Springfield High School,
he has led instructional, hitting and student citizenship programs throughout the
region and was founder of the JR Barnstormers & Virginia Cardinals baseball
programs. “Tug” joins Players Edge as the company’s Director of Student Athlete
Development Programs. His passion for the game and background in counseling,
coaching and academics provide tremendous value to both players & parents
seeking a better understanding of HS class requirements & the college selection
process.

Please allow a minimum of 2 hours for the initial planning meeting.  Follow-up
meeting lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour.
